Corporate Social Responsibility

One of the main commitments of our corporate social responsibility programme is an appropriate integration of the ports managed by APBA within the boroughs of our region.

APBA has signed port-city agreements with all the councils to lay out our areas of responsibility. These agreements have been put into practice by carrying out many projects on the coastlines of these boroughs to improve access to port zones and enlarge the areas for public use.

Algeciras Maritime Lagoon

The Port-Region Commission of the Port Authority of the Bay of Algeciras was established in 1998 with the aim of objectively and collectively managing the support that the Port Authority (APBA) provides to various groups and NGOs in the Campo de Gibraltar area. This support is mainly directed toward charitable projects, but also includes cultural and sports initiatives.

2025 Call

Associations and foundations that carry out activities and projects of a social –charitable, cultural –educational or sports –social nature, interested in a sponsorship advertising contract subject to Law 34/1988, of November 11, General Advertising, through which the Port Authority of the Bay of Algeciras promotes its project or activity, may fill out their application in the APPLICATION section during the period when the submission of applications is open.

In the same way, through the REQUESTS section, you can send the required documentation in accordance with the regulatory bases approved by the Board of Directors of this port institution on July 24, 2024, published in the PUBLICATIONS section. The bases include, among other aspects, in addition to the documentation to be sent, the procedure, the evaluation criteria, and the compensation to be provided by the association or foundation in exchange for advertising sponsorship.

Likewise, the REQUESTS section will remain open from September 10 until November 8, 2024. Only applications submitted within the mentioned period will be accepted

2024 Call

Associations and foundations that carry out social-beneficial, cultural-educational, or sports-social activities and projects, interested in a sponsorship advertising contract subject to Law 34/1988, of November 11, General Advertising Law, through which the Port Authority of the Bay of Algeciras promotes its project or activity, may complete their application in the APPLICATIONS 2024 section during the period when the application submission deadline is open

In the same way, through the REQUESTS 2024 section, you can send the documentation required in the regulatory bases approved by the Board of Directors of this port institution on December 21, 2023, published in the PUBLICATIONS section. The bases include, among other aspects, in addition to the documentation to be sent, the procedure, the evaluation criteria, and the consideration to be made by the association or foundation in exchange for the advertising sponsorship.

Likewise, the APPLICATIONS 2024 section will be open from February 12 to March 12, 2024. Only applications submitted within this period will be accepted.

In the same way, the granting of the aid will be subject to the existence and approval of a budget item for this purpose in the budget of the Port Authority.

The Port Authority of the Bay of Algeciras, aware of its relationship with the environment in which its facilities are located, has been carrying out an intense effort in the conservation, restoration, and recovery of port historical heritage, with the aimof preserving, valuing its cultural significance and disseminating its history among the citizens. These actions are related in the Conservation and Enhancement Plan of the Historical Heritage of the APBA.
