The Port of Algeciras’s container terminals saw 99 megaships (*) operate from APMT and TTIA.

By terminal, 74 called at APMT Algeciras and 25 of these leviathans called at the semi-automatic terminal run by TTI Algeciras

It was only in 2014 that Maersk Line decided to trust its megaships to the Port of Algeciras; from hereon, the other Top 3 shipping lines – MSC and CMA-CGM – have also followed suit.

In this light, 60 of the megaship calls at the Port of Algeciras were made by Maersk Line’s “Tripe-E” Class, followed by 20 by CMA-CGM and 19 by MSC.
